Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ShareBuddy mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”), available at sharebuddy.co.in. By creating an account, browsing listings, hosting, booking, or otherwise using ShareBuddy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ShareBuddy is a peer-to-peer marketplace that enables users to create and discover listings for shared resources, including but not limited to ride pooling, accommodation pooling, sports and recreation, and shopping pooling. ShareBuddy provides tools for listings, location display, bookings, in-app wallet and payments, notifications, and messaging between users.

ShareBuddy is a technology platform only. We are not a transportation carrier, hotel operator, retailer, or employer of hosts. Transactions and arrangements are between users unless we state otherwise in writing.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for accurate registration information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Listings, offers & requests

Hosts may publish listings as “offers” or “requests” with descriptions, pricing, capacity, schedules, and location data. You represent that your listings are truthful, lawful, and that you have the right to offer what you describe. ShareBuddy may remove or suspend listings that violate these Terms or applicable law.

5. Bookings & payments

When you request or accept a booking, you enter into a direct arrangement with the other user. Booking status (e.g. pending, confirmed, cancelled, completed) and payment status are managed through the Service. Fees, refunds, and cancellations are subject to the listing terms, in-app flows, and applicable policies displayed at the time of booking.

Wallet balances and payment processing are provided through integrated payment services. You agree to provide valid payment information where required and to pay all amounts you authorize.

6. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, harassing, or discriminatory purposes
  • Post false, misleading, or dangerous listings
  • Circumvent fees, abuse the wallet or booking systems, or manipulate reviews or reports
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or other users’ data
  • Share another person’s personal data without consent

7. Location & maps

The Service uses device location and map services (including third-party map providers) to show nearby listings and listing locations. You grant permission for such use when you enable location features. Accuracy of map data is not guaranteed.

8. Reviews, reports & moderation

Users may submit reviews and reports. ShareBuddy may investigate and take action, including warning, suspension, or termination of accounts, at our discretion. We do not guarantee outcomes for any dispute between users.

9. Intellectual property

The ShareBuddy name, logo, app design, and platform content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights to content you submit but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the Service.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OR THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHAREBUDDY AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY USER INTERACTION, INCLUDING TRAVEL, STAYS, OR IN-PERSON MEETINGS.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShareBuddy from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your listings, bookings, or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or for operational or legal reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised date on this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your jurisdiction of residence or the jurisdiction specified by ShareBuddy in app settings, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
