• Account details: name, email, phone number, profile photo, and password (stored securely)
• Listing and booking data: titles, descriptions, prices, capacity, schedules, notes, and messages
• Payment and wallet information processed through our payment partners (we do not store full card numbers on our servers where prohibited by PCI standards)
• Support communications and reports you submit

Information collected automatically

• Device identifiers, app version, operating system, and push notification tokens
• Location data when you grant permission — used to find nearby listings, set listing locations, and display maps
• Usage data: screens viewed, searches, booking actions, and crash logs
• IP address and general network information for security and fraud prevention

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Create and manage your account and authenticate you
• Display listings, process bookings, and facilitate payments via the in-app wallet
• Send booking updates, security alerts, and push notifications (you can manage notification permissions on your device)

5. Location data

ShareBuddy requests location access to help you find nearby listings and pin listing addresses on maps, as described in the app permission prompts. You can disable location in your device settings; some features may not work without it.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account subject to applicable retention obligations.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your information in the app under Profile and Security settings. To exercise other rights, use in-app support or visit sharebuddy.co.in.

9. Children

ShareBuddy is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so we can delete it.

10. International users

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

11. Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party sites or services (e.g. map or payment providers). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and we may notify you in the app for material changes.
